Michael E. Baker, CPA, CFP® - Managing Partner

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Mike received a B. S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and an accounting equivalency from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Mike joined Dent, Baker & Company in 1989, earned his CPA designation in 1990. He became a partner in 1997, and Managing Partner in 2012. His practice is concentrated in the area of taxation and general business consulting. Mike heads the firm's international practice assisting American companies seeking to conduct business abroad and foreign companies operating in the US.
 
He is also a Certified Financial Planner, holding the Series 7 and 63 licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers.
 
Mr. Baker is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Planning Association. He is also Chairman of the University of Alabama Birmingham Accounting and Finance Advisory Board and the Brock School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board at Samford University.
